First established in 1889, the Doutta Galla Hotel is a well-renowned landmark in Flemington, north of Melbourne. As part of an extensive refurbishment that will give the tired building a modern and fresh new look, CoreTemp Australia (CoreTemp AustraliaS) was engaged to deliver a large-scale commercial HVAC system for the busy pub.
This was not a simple installation. Working alongside Eave, our experienced team played a key role in the design, supply and commissioning of a tailored commercial HVAC solution that would deliver energy-efficient climate control over three levels of this busy hospitality venue that includes a bistro, multiple functional spaces and a high-demand commercial kitchen.

Our scope included the combined design, supply, installation and commissioning of a tailored HVAC commercial system including:
- System Design and Coordination
Working with the builder Eave, the CoreTemp AustraliaS team designed a complete energy-efficient HVAC system for the refurbished hotel, balancing load capacity, compliance and interior design requirements. - Daikin VRV Air Conditioning System (150 kW)
Tailored to provide zoned comfort in multiple hotel zones across three-levels, with centralised control for ease of management. - Commercial Kitchen Ventilation System
Designed with Fantech to ensure safe, efficient and high-performance air extraction and make-up air for the venue’s kitchen, especially during peak service. - Exposed Sheetmetal Ductwork
Both functional and impressive, exposed ductwork throughout the ceilings with exposed timber beams, maintain airflow performance and contribute to the industrial character of the building. - Electrical, Control Systems and Commissioning
Delivering a full turnkey solution that was ready for immediate operation in the busy hospitality venue. - As-Installed Drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals
Full documentation and ‘as-installed’ drawings are provided at the end of every commercial project, ensuring ongoing ease of management for the Doutta Galla hotel operators.
