The Campbellfield Development is a large-scale commercial project that required a complete HVAC and ventilation solution designed for performance, efficiency and compliance. As part of our long-standing partnership with Civic Crown, we were engaged to deliver a tailored system that would support both the office and factory areas – balancing fresh air requirements, effective extraction and efficient climate control. This project gave us the opportunity to work closely not only with Civic Crown, but also with manufacturers Daikin and Fantech, to overcome unique site challenges and deliver a solution that met strict building surveyor requirements while ensuring the comfort and safety of future occupants.
Services Provided
We delivered a turnkey HVAC solution with over 600 hours of dedicated work, including:
- Ventilation & Airflow Systems
- Rooftop ventilators fitted with booster fans, dampers, ducting and control systems, programmed to activate when factory areas reach 28 degrees or above, extracting hot air efficiently.
- Fantech inline fan system introducing fresh air alongside the Daikin VRV heat recovery setup, ensuring compliance and healthy indoor air quality.
- External weatherproof louvred grills, modified to suit the building’s layout and requirements.
- Rooftop ventilators fitted with booster fans, dampers, ducting and control systems, programmed to activate when factory areas reach 28 degrees or above, extracting hot air efficiently.
- HVAC Systems
- Daikin VRV systems with outdoor condensing units and a mix of cassette, compact cassette and wall-mounted indoor units to suit each zone.
- Integration of branch selector units and closed pipe kits for maximum efficiency and flexibility.
- Refrigerant and drainage pipework to support reliable, long-term operation.
- Daikin VRV systems with outdoor condensing units and a mix of cassette, compact cassette and wall-mounted indoor units to suit each zone.
- Challenges and Solutions
- The gantry crane positioned through the building above the office area meant rooftop placement of equipment wasn’t possible as originally designed.
- We worked closely with Daikin and Fantech to redesign the system layout, meeting fresh air and compliance requirements while satisfying the building surveyor’s expectations. This collaborative approach ensured the project remained on track and delivered without compromise.
